    Tips For Movie Casting Calls

    February 2nd, 2012 by admin

Movie casting calls can be a nerve wracking experience. Usually there are dozens of people auditioning for a role and it can be difficult to perform well under the pressure. The best advice for going to a casting call is to  make an impression. The common adage is the clothes make the man, and whether man or woman, appearances are important. Don’t roll out of bed half an hour before the audition and expect to get a callback. Know the type of role before going to the casting call. If auditioning for a role as a grizzled war veteran, don’t show up looking like a sleek professional, in a three piece suit and cologne. Prepare by growing some facial hair and wearing more relaxed clothing, helping the casting director to see the potential. Casting calls are much easier and usually are more successful with preparation and research into the role.
