Yes, I’m still alive. Moving to a new server and doing some other things, but I’m still alive.
Here are the results of the Fibromyalgia poll that got so many people so heated at me, including one person who thinks the med blogs that I read are “bottom of the barrel”.
- Yes, it’s real, but it’s over diagnosed by lazy doctors (36%, 78 Votes)
- No, it’s just another reason for people to pop pills. (17%, 37 Votes)
- I don’t know if it’s real or not. (16%, 34 Votes)
- Yes, Fibromyalgia is a real illness and people who don’t have it just don’t understand. (11%, 24 Votes)
- No, it’s an excuse for people to lay around getting fat. (9%, 20 Votes)
- I don’t know what Fibromyalgia is. (8%, 17 Votes)
- Yes, and I am one of those who suffer daily. (3%, 6 Votes)
I guess the sufferers didn’t vote as much unless they were voting for the lazy doctors. Oh well, what can you do.

I wasn’t here to take the poll, but I do have two friends (siblings) who both have fibromyalgia. Trust me when I say this is REAL: I know my buddy as a rational person who has no patience with laziness, so for him to be ill is a huge offense to him. He’s had to adjust to fatigue, mystery pain, and the assumptions of those around him who think he’s trying to get excused from work and gain sympathy. I understand that because while I don’t have fibromyalgia, I do have osteoarthritis and it may not be 24/7 hurting, it’s unpredictable and frustrating as heck.
I agree with the answer about its being a disease that nobody who doesn’t have it really can truly understand.

I love the end of the week polls with the ghetto names of the week. If I wasn’t smart, I’d start a blog of my own with some of the ghetto names I deal with on a daily basis. Plus faces. Yuck, lmao.

The best ghetto name I’ve heard of was “Roy’nasia”… Dad was Roy, mom was Ananastasia. They thought they were clever… True story
