Poll Results, Ghetto Names of the Week (5/2)

Hey everyone, and welcome back to Raging Server. Sorry for the lack of posting on the regular site this week, and the lack of a Round Table. There’s been some issues with the Round Table lately, some of the originators haven’t been blogging lately, and a couple of people flat out refused to host. I’m working on a new way of doing it, being that I am NOT going to let it go. Round Table is very important to me, it’s something I started up with Manuel’s help from scratch, and I will not let it go. There’s a couple of new Horror Stories up, so check them out.

This weeks poll was on who you think will be our next president. I’ll put this one back up around election day.

  • Barak Obama (37%, 58 Votes)
  • Who cares, they’re all liars anyway. (21%, 33 Votes)
  • John McCain (19%, 30 Votes)
  • Hillary Clinton (15%, 23 Votes)
  • The Ribeye of your Dreams!!!!! (6%, 9 Votes)
  • Ron Paul (1%, 2 Votes)
  • Ralph Nader (1%, 1 Votes)
  • None of the above (1%, 1 Votes)

I’d like to say thank you to the people who want me as the president, but I’m not yet 35, and I’m not on any of the tickets….much to my chagrin.

Poll Results, Ghetto Names of the Week (4/25)

I must say, this poll has been a quite successful one for being started a day and a half later than normal. There were some heated tempers, and some very passionately hateful e-mails sent to my account. More e-mails than votes on the poll, so some of the messages I got were from non-voters. I have to say, even with all the no votes, if you add up all the yes votes on here, the yes votes won out by a long shot. At any rate, here are the results:

Do you think T-Shirts and other clothes with “language” should be allowed in public and child friendly places?

  • No, People should take into account children before they wear offensive clothes (36%, 68 Votes)
  • The First Amendment protects free speech, that’s all that matters (30%, 56 Votes)
  • Yes, they’re just clothes, other people be damned (15%, 28 Votes)
  • Yes, People should be allowed to wear what they want, when they want, wherever they want (14%, 27 Votes)
  • Yes, and I have shirts in the same genre! (3%, 6 Votes)
  • No, that type of language offends me. (1%, 2 Votes)

I know that a lot of you think that the First Amendment only protects free speech in certain places, and not in privately owned establishments, but you have to remember that not everyone twists the Constitution to suit their own needs.  When the First Amendment was written, the framers weren’t thinking about what people can and cannot say at a restaurant, they were thinking that people should be able to say what they want in any form or fashion because this is a free country.  It might have been in poor taste to not make the wearer of the shirt leave, or ask him to remove it, but we weren’t in the wrong by any means.  We very clearly protected the wearer’s right to free speech, and based on the answers of this poll combining the yes and no votes, (yes = 117 to the no’s = 70) the majority of you agree with that right in some way.

I need to put more of these controversial polls up, lots of hits involved.

Now for what you all came here to see!

Change of Poll

Well, based on the unpopularity of the Energy Drink poll, and the differing opinions you all have on the “Assault by T-shirt” post, I’ve decided to change this weeks poll.  Don’t get used to this, I won’t often change a poll after it’s already up but this week I decided to make an exception.

Everyone vote on the new one now =).

Welcome back everyone. This weeks poll asked you all your feelings on getting out of Iraq. It’s nice to know that people do agree with me occasionally.

Here are the results:

  • We should have left a year ago (63%, 72 Votes)
  • Yes, it’s time to go (23%, 26 Votes)
  • No, there’s too much work to be done (10%, 11 Votes)
  • No, they’ll fail without us (4%, 5 Votes)

Also, as promised before, I’ve got a slightly bigger list for the Ghetto Names of the Week this week, actually taking the time to write them down all week long. Some of them are going to shock you but I assure you, I only pull from credit cards and government issued ID cards/drivers licenses.

Boy, you people actually voted on an issue poll, I need to start doing those more often! As a matter of fact, the new one that’s going up tonight is going to be another issue poll.

Here are the results of this weeks poll:

Do you think gays and lesbians should be able to marry?

  • Yes, they deserve the same rights as everyone else (54%, 117 Votes)
  • Yes, if straight people can, let the gays be just as miserable (22%, 48 Votes)
  • Yes, love is love (12%, 26 Votes)
  • No, same-sex marriage threatens traditional marriage (8%, 17 Votes)
  • NO, Homosexuality is an abomination (3%, 6 Votes)
  • No, I don’t want people thinking being gay is O.K. (2%, 4 Votes)

I just have to ask the 17 people who said that “same-sex marriage threatens traditional marriage”: HOW THE FUCK WOULD MY GETTING MARRIED TO THE RAGING PARTNER BE A THREAT TO YOUR MARRIAGE???? You ain’t marrying another guy or another girl, and neither is your husband or wife! Are you going to get a divorce from seeing us get married? Hell, with divorce rates as high as they are, I don’t think we need do anything to threaten your marriage, as you’re doing it to yourselves!

Now that I’ve got that rant done with, it’s time for this weeks…

Ghetto Names of the Week! The Females: Vareetia

Laterrial

Raleetha

The Males: Tomarion

Leamonar

Jatavaius

The lists are about to become a bit bigger, being that I’ve only been using the names from the nights of the post. From now on, I’m keeping a list, as are the other servers that I work with, so that we can have a big group of names.

A Tennessee Titan may be ending up on the Shitty Tipper Database at some point soon, wasn’t my guest but the person who served the Titan was very pissed at the shitty tip he received. Don’t fuck with your servers, celebrities, because we will have our revenge. This means you, Young Buck, and you, Titan, you know who you are!
