Everyone head over to The Seafood Department for this weeks installment of The Round Table!!
This was Seafood Suzy’s first time, and she was more or less drafted into it. I couldn’t be more proud of her! She has done a FANTASTIC job on this weeks edition, and she’s never done one before. Expect great things from this one, everyone, because great things are coming!
I’d also like to take this time to welcome Mr. Chowder of bitterwaitress.net forums to the Industry Blogosphere. Mr. Chowder has started the Chowder Chronicles, and from what I can tell, it’s a great place! Welcome, Chowder, can’t wait to draft you to host Round Table in a couple months!

Hey everyone, and welcome to RagingServer.com for the Volume 13 of…

We have a couple of new additions to our group this week, and it might be a bit long. I’ll try to make it as painless as possible. Without further ado, let’s just jump right in.
Suzy Q of The Seafood Department has tackled something that makes most of us feel uncomfortable. She’s stated her feelings on Black People…they’re a little odd being that she’s half black herself, but you be the judge.
Ali of El Vermino Blvd. is telling all about the risk that many of us in the industry take, some of us from family and some from peer pressure. Alcoholism. I’m an alcoholic, and I freely admit it. It’s the reason I don’t drink anymore.
Bitter of bitterwaitress is giving us a review of a San Dieagan restaurant, Bertrand at Mister A’s. I wonder if Bitter may find a living as a food critic, because that review is awesomely written.
Sometimes we all have what’s known in our world as “Burnout”. Burnout comes in a variety of ways, and Bitchy Waitress of At least call me “Miss”… is dealing with one of the most annoying aspects of it…the fucking up. We all do it, even if we deny it. Show support, not ridicule!
Restaurant Gal has just enjoyed Spring Break with her girlfriends, and I find myself being a bit jealous of her. I never did anything for Spring Break but work and sleep.
Cassy from 1/2 Server 1/2 Amazing has been MIA for a bit, so I’m bringing out one of her classics, and it’s something we all have been through. The Friday Night War. I think it speaks for itself.
Ryan at I Serve Idiots gets to deal with people almost as crazy as mine…I take that back…they ARE as crazy as mine. Most of mine at least pay the right amount, despite leaving no tip.
St. Patricks Day is coming, and Upset Waitress is telling us her feelings on it. I personally agree with her. It’s a day for debauchery, and I dread another year of green beer. It’s so annoying, and you spill a drop and you’re stained.
Tony of Dine in or Take out has been a bit busy lately, so I’m pulling out one of his classics as well. In this, one of his earliest of posts, Tony tells of his part time serving life. Oh if he only knew then that it would be a way of life than a part time job….
Ah, Manuel. You always brighten my day, and today you’ve made me wistful for the olden days of serving…when everyone wore ties…when tables were set…when specials were set by a chef and not by a corporate office…maybe that still happens somewhere and I just need to be away from corporate for a bit..
Lobster Boy of the Red Lobster Blog is this week sharing his feelings on people who share meals and shit tips. I just don’t like people who split meals. Get a full meal for fuck sake and take some home for later! Don’t ask me for an extra plate, it annoys me!
Freaks are everywhere in restaurants, and at Waiterrant.net, we see just how freakish things are.
Finally, here at RagingServer.com, I’m slandering a big name rapper. Actually, I’m not really sure that Young Buck is a really big name, and his music isn’t all that great compared to the real members of G-Unit. And he’s a shitty tipper, and a shitty human.
That brings this weeks Round Table to an end. Next week, if all goes as planned, the Round Table will be hosted at The Seafood Department. We all look forward to seeing what you’ve got Suzy!

Welcome everyone to another edition of The Round Table. After a few weeks of not knowing who is hosting, I’m going to get it up for you this time. I promise I’m working on a new hosting schedule. Without further ado

Manuel at Well Done Fillet is one regular short this month…and realizes just how much it hits. We all have those people.
Why would any of us want to open a restaurant, when we like the money we make on the floor? I call shenanigans on that one. We make shit on the floor compared to the restaurant owners! Let’s find out what Bitter thinks the reasoning is for opening a restaurant.
I feel a strong love…deep in my soul right now…for the mighty Bitchy Waitress of At least call me “Miss”…. She’s done something that we all need to be doing, and that’s to defend Ribeye…I mean to educate the public when it comes to restaurant things! I swear if I wasn’t gay I’d ask for her hand in marriage on that post.
Body language, everyone uses it. We all have learned what most of it means. Tony of Dine in or Take out recently made a “study” of body language on a couple of his tables, and the results are fascinating.
One of our newcomers, but by far not a new blogger, Ryan of I Serve Idiots is a favored place to be of many readers. This past weekend, he tells of an experience he had with a group of Entitlement Junkies…the 18 year old birthday girl and her friends. I hate them, you hate them, yet we’ve all been a part of those groups. Is that perhaps why we hate them so much, because we made such fools of ourselves at one time? He also has a very short post that I cannot help but to throw out there, about people who don’t know what they’re drinking.
Cigars are nasty. They don’t taste good, they don’t smell good. Even the highest classes of them are disqueeeeeesting if you want to know. Snotty men smoke them, they must have developed a taste. Restaurant Gal hates them too.
Now my teeth suck people, and they suck bad. I was a moron. But I was never stupid enough to put faux precious metal in my mouth and think it looked hot, like people that Upset Waitress and every other server has to look at.
Should we chase people who try to dine and dash? Servers in California shouldn’t, at least not according to WaiterRant.net. We might get shot at.
Lobster Boy of Red Lobster Blog is pining the decline of the Filet o’ Fish at McDonalds. There’s no fish for those within Lent. At least he’s making great money where he works. Lent is very lucrative there.
Even in hotels, there are discount junkies. At Feather or Foam, the discount junkies are evil and hateful little bastards.
Finally, here at RagingServer.com, I’m dealing with people who can’t read and who want to bitch about gratuity. I hate them all, as anyone who has read my posts can tell….why can’t people just be civil?
Be sure to tune in next week for another edition of The Round Table. I’m hoping I can get Bitter of Bitterwaitress to host next week, if Bitter has time. Believe me, it’s a lot harder to find time to blog sometimes than you might think.
